He qualified at Malaga’s Medical School, in 1987 with distinction, and after 2 years in Research at University Hospital Virgen de la Victoria, Málaga, he obtained his medical investigation degree, with his studies related to the thyroid gland.

During the following years he continued working in Pathology Lab with clinical work at the Spanish NHS and private centres.

In 1994 he was appointed at the Oxford University Postgraduate Training Scheme, where he spent four years in surgical and A&E posts, passing successfully his Advance Trauma Life Support qualifications.

He joined the Vocational Training Scheme for General Practice, at the Oxford Deanery in 1998. With Professors and two colleagues, they developed the new scheme implemented in this new century. He was a member of the team representing the Oxford University at the 1999 WONCA Congress (World Organization of Family Doctors).

In order to facilitate the connection between British NHS and Spanish doctors and nurses, he established a direct channel between British NHS and the College of Doctors in Málaga, which helped many other young doctors and nurses training in UK.

In year 2000, he came back to Spain, working at the Spanish NHS in Estepona, and later on, opening his own Practice in Sabinillas, Manilva.
